The Gold Standard
in Wine Cellar Services
Most general contractors who take on a wine cellar build it like a pantry with a thermostat. Cork dries out, bottles oxidise, and a $40,000 collection quietly degrades behind a beautiful door. We build wine cellars the way wine actually demands — sealed envelope, engineered cooling, calibrated humidity, and racking that holds up after the wood acclimates. That is the only thing we do.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a wine cellar installation cost?+
Most home wine cellars land between $18,000 and $90,000. A 200–500 bottle closet or under-stair build sits at the low end; a 1,500–3,000 bottle dedicated room with custom millwork and a redundant cooling system sits in the middle. Estate vaults with imported stone, dual-zone cooling and full smart-home integration run $150K and up. Every quote we hand over is itemized — labor, materials, cooling, electrical, permits — so there's nothing hidden.
How long does a wine cellar take to build?+
Two to five weeks of construction is normal for a residential wine cellar after design approval. The first week is usually framing, vapor barrier and insulation; the second covers electrical, cooling install and drywall; the final stretch is racking, lighting, finishes and climate commissioning. Larger custom builds run six to twelve weeks. We give you a real schedule before you sign — not a guess.
What temperature and humidity should a wine cellar hold?+
55°F (13°C) at around 60% relative humidity is the textbook target — cool enough to slow aging, humid enough that corks don't dry and shrink. Our cooling systems hold within ±1°F and ±5% RH year-round. The bigger story is stability: wine handles 53° or 57° just fine, but it doesn't tolerate swinging between the two every day. We engineer for stability first.
Do I need a special cooling unit for a wine cellar?+
Yes — a regular HVAC system can't hold the low temperature and high humidity wine needs without overcooling and drying the air. A purpose-built wine cellar cooling unit (through-wall, ducted, or split) is engineered to maintain 55°F at 60% RH continuously. We size, install and warranty cooling units from WhisperKool, CellarPro and Wine Guardian based on your cellar's volume, insulation and layout.
Do you serve my city?+
Yes. We're licensed and insured in all 50 states and routinely fly crews to projects in Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, Chicago, Austin, Atlanta, Denver, Boston, Seattle and the surrounding metros. If you're outside a major city, ask anyway — most projects justify the trip.
